The engineering department of Spacewell Energy is currently looking for a Mid-Senior Frontend Engineer to join the pixel team. We are looking for engineers who embrace software craftsmanship and have a background in TypeScript. We prioritise the use of Agile methodologies and XP practices such as TDD, pairing and CI/CD, as a basis for delivering high-quality code frequently while taking care about the business domain (DDD). We are open to both onsite and remote candidates residing in Spain, have a valid work permit for Spain, and would enjoy meeting the team during the year in our Barcelona office.
At Spacewell Energy, we celebrate diversity and difference, and we are strongly committed to building an inclusive workplace for all our employees. We welcome and encourage people of all backgrounds to apply. Read more about our Declaration of Principles on Diversity, Inclusion and Equality.
A 30-60 minute call with People and the Head of Development (or a Team Lead) will provide an overview of our company, specifically focusing on how the technical department operates. The discussion will cover the candidate's past experience and technical background, offering an opportunity for the candidate to ask any questions about us.
A 2-hour technical session with two members of our development team, divided into two parts. The first 30 minutes will focus on the candidate's technical background, while the second part (90 minutes) involves a live programming exercise. The candidate should do it using Java. This test simulates a 'pair-programming' session, with our team providing guidance and assistance throughout the exercise.
We will either extend a job offer or provide feedback if we decide not to hire you.
